20 years of LSM – Ludwig Schneider Messtechnik
1990
Hans-Ludwig Schneider founds LSM – Ludwig Schneider Messtechnik, a new company for physical measured variables. The focus is on electrical sensor
systems and temperature measuring technology.
At the same time, he establishes a high-quality test laboratory for temperature (-196°C to +1300°C), which is subsequently accredited by Germany’s national
metrology institute (Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt) as a calibration laboratory of the German Calibration Service (Deutscher Kalibrierdienst = DKD).
1995
LSM grows and grows. The company moves internally from the cellar to the 1st floor.
The strategy is reformulated to make LSM exclusively a service company and hence independent.
2005
LSM becomes the first commercial DKD laboratory for density to be accredited by the German Accreditation Council (DAR) for measuring instruments
(hydrometers, saccharimeters, alcoholometers) working on the buoyancy principle.
2008
With the Agenda 2015, Brigitte Schneider creates the prerequisites in terms of space and innovation to meet the measurement needs of industry, research and science for the next decade.
2009
The laboratory manager at LSM, is elected Chairman of the Temperature and Humidity Committee by the managers of other DKD/DAkkS laboratories.
This committee is an important platform for technical information and normative guidelines.
The worldwide recognition and high measurement standards of the German Calibration Service are an assurance of quality for German industry.
2010
LSM performs calibration from -20°C to +1600°C in the field of infrared measurement.
LSM Ludwig Schneider Messtechnik celebrates its 20th anniversary.
2011
In the 3rd quarter Ludwig Schneider Messtechnik was reaccredited for a DAkkS-certification for temperature and density.
